A Friday to Remember:)

Some days we find that we need many hands to accomplish the task, but we know we are not alone:)
this has been a busy week, but very fruitful:)

Just a few loose ends which I will tie up today:)
some will tie up nicely and others will be left for another day:)
so I am excited for the ones that I will be completing and walking away from today:)

Lord help me today to accept the pace and to remember that sometimes I just flow with the wind and at other times I create the wind.

Q: Please tell me how an angel becomes a saint, as in Saint Michael the Archangel.



A: The good angels are saints because God created them in a state of holiness or sanctity. He also enabled them to make a free choice for or against him. Those that made the choice for him were confirmed in their holiness. Those that chose against him lost their holiness.

Of those angels who remained in holiness, Scripture tells us the names of three—Michael (Dan. 10:13), Gabriel (Dan. 8:16), and Raphael (Tob. 12:15). It became customary for Christians to speak of them as holy—"Holy Michael," for example, which in Latin is Sanctus Michaelus. This then gets translated into English as Saint Michael.

There was no official canonization of these angels. Like the human saints in the first part of Church history, they were recognized as saints by popular acclaim rather than by papal decree.

God has chosen to keep the great majority of the angels anonymous to us in this life, and so we simply pray to "the holy angels" or one’s guardian angel without knowing their names.

Mission Sunday:)
last night we went to our church mission. it was a wonderful family event. amazing how much you can get when you really listen to the readings:)

Sarah's grandson is playing in the water, while she is standing on the beach not wanting to get her feet wet, when all of a sudden a huge wave appears from nowhere and crashes directly over the spot where the boy is in the ocean. The water recedes and the boy is no longer there. He simply vanished.Sarah holds her hands to the sky and cries, "God, how could you? Have I not been a wonderful mother and grandmother? Have I not given to B’nai Brith and Haddasah? Have I not tried my very best to live a life that you would be proud of?"Just then, another huge wave appears out of nowhere and crashes on the beach. As the water recedes, the boy is standing there, smiling, splashing around as if nothing had happened.A loud voice booms from the sky, "I have returned your grandson. Are you satisfied?"Sarah responds, "Well...he WAS wearing a hat."

Church Bulletin Bloopers
This being Easter Sunday, we will ask Mrs. Lewis to come forward and lay an egg on the altar. The service will close with "Little Drops of Water." One of the ladies will start quietly and the rest of the congregation will join in. Next Sunday a special collection will be taken to defray the cost of the new carpet. All those wishing to do something on the new carpet will come forward and do so. The pastor will preach his farewell message, after which the choir will sing, "Break Forth Into Joy." During the absence of our pastor, we enjoyed the rare privilege of hearing a good sermon when J.F. Stubbs supplied our pulpit.

Bunny Story
Once upon a time there was a man who was peacefully driving down a windy road. Suddenly, a bunny skipped across the road and the man couldn't stop. He hit the bunny head on. The man quickly jumped out of his car to check the scene. There, lying lifeless in the middle of the road, was the Easter Bunny. The man cried out, "Oh no! I have committed a terrible crime! I have run over the Easter Bunny!" The man started sobbing quite hard and then he heard another car approaching. It was a woman in a red convertible. The woman stopped and asked what the problem was.The man explained, "I have done something horribly sad. I have run over the Easter Bunny. Now there will be no one to deliver eggs on Easter, and it's all my fault." The woman ran back to her car. A moment later, she came back carrying a spray bottle. She ran over to the motionless bunny and sprayed it. The bunny immediately sprang up, ran into the woods, stopped, and waved back at the man and woman. Then it ran another 10 feet, stopped, and waved. It then ran another 10 feet, stopped, and waved again. It did this over and over and over again until the man and the woman could no longer see the bunny. Once out of sight, the man exclaimed, "What is that stuff in that bottle?" The woman replied, "It's harespray. It revitalizes hare and adds permanent wave

Dottie is home:)

Dottie is home:) she is a bit limpy, but is getting better, you can see her leg is red from the surgery:)

we miss our baby dog:)

wow, the week is almost over, spring break has been calm, until yesterday:)
our baby dog, ran away on Wednesday, we put up flyers around the neigborhood thursday. 30 minutes later we got a call from a lady who picked up a dog who was hit by a car on wednesday afternoon. we had to wait until friday morn to check, and sure enough our baby dog is in the hospital with a broken leg and a major operation to put a pin in her leg, we did not tell mike until this morning after visiting Dottie. we should be able to pick her up this afternoon, we also had a chip inserted just in case she ever runs away. She has 6 weeks of recovery.
Thank God for good people who love animals:
these people picked her up from the side of the road, took her to the hospital, came back took photos made flyers(they were putting them up when they saw our flyer) they also put it in the paper.

second day of spring break

so we are off, I'm still not sure where yet, fort stewart or keyport, when my number 3 son wakes up we are on our way. it does not matter, we will be together and we will be building memories:)

First day of spring break

Ok, so we will clean up our surrounding today, you know yard,house, cars:)
maybe we will go to a movie, as a treat, since my slaves, kids are great helpers:)

I have promised baby boy #3 to drive him to a navy place tomorrow:)
so he has secure one day this week of clean up our living conditions:)


Thank God for kids to keep you grounded:)

As life goes by we get new assignments , as we look at them and welcome them or refuse them we make our mind up to be happy:)

APRIL FOOL FUN IDEAS...Colour The MilkChoose a bright colour of food coloring to add to the milk. Buy it in a cardboard container so nobody can see inside. Make sure you are around when they pour it on their cereal. *smile*
Mealtime ideaServe lunch or dinner in reverse order, the dessert first, then the main dish, and lastly the starter/appetizer.And serve some of the food items in different dishes to confuse them further :-)Office/Computer funUse a small post-it note and place it under someones's computer mouse (covering the ball on the bottom). When they go to use the mouse, it won't do anything! Remember to write "April Fool!" on the bottom.
