Please pray for our priest

I will ask you to pray for our priest, they are constantly under attack, I my self have my favorites:)
The priest that performed my wedding;) Father Ken:) Father O'Brien:) they still have not broken the illusion Thank God for them

I also have some that I feel deeply sorry for, the ones that have so many demons that they find it hard to live life without medication or puppets:). Our blessed mother ask us to pray for our priest and we need to do that.
We also need to remember that they are also men who put on a collar and they hide behind it for the convenience of it. Let's pray for the Las Vegas priest , since his Church has abandon him, like most churches do, when trouble is amist:
I hope he turns himself in. Father if you are into blog reading and happen to read mine, I know a parish where you will fit right in;) give them a call:)

LAS VEGAS —

A Las Vegas church suspended a Catholic priest Sunday as police continued their search for the clergyman, who allegedly sexually assaulted and struck a woman at the church.
The Diocese of Las Vegas placed Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church priest George Chaanine on administrative leave as police investigated a Friday evening assault at the church, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Sunday.

Authorities said they were called to the church by someone who heard a woman in the church cry for help.

Officers found a church employee who said she had been assaulted and hit in the head with an object by a priest. Investigators consider Chaanine a person of interest, police spokesman Bill Cassell said.

"We want to talk with him, to hear his side of the story," Ted Moody, deputy chief of the Metropolitan Police Department's Investigative Services Division, told the newspaper on Saturday.

Police said Chaanine owns a gun and may be armed and dangerous, the paper reported.

Police closed the grounds of the church, located about four miles west of the Las Vegas Strip, for about an hour while they searched for Chaanine.

They believe the priest is driving a cream-colored Buick LeSabre.

The victim was treated at University Medical Center and released.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Let's just get there

It's The Journey That's Important...
By John McLeod

Life, sometimes so wearying
Is worth its weight in gold
The experience of traveling
Lends a wisdom that is old
Beyond our 'living memory'
A softly spoken prayer:
"It's the journey that's important,
Not the getting there!"

Ins and outs and ups and downs
Life's road meanders aimlessly?
Or so it seems, but somehow
Leads us where we need to be,
And being simply human
We oft question and compare....
"Is the journey so important
Or the getting there?"

And thus it's always been
That question pondered down the ages
By simple men with simple ways
To wise and ancient sages....
How sweet then, quietly knowing
Reaching destination fair:
"It's the journey that's important,
Not the getting there!"

301 comedy:)

today is post 301 so I have a comedy break from inspiration:)
son number 2 send me this and I had to share it:)

Subject: Disorder in the American courts

These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are
things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and
now published by court reporters who had the torment of staying calm
while these exchanges were actually taking place. It's worth reading
to the end! Those of you who have worked with attorneys will find this
very easy to understand. Others will find it easier.

ATTORNEY: Are you sexually active?
WITNESS: No, I just lie there.
_______________________________

ATTORNEY: What is your date of birth?
WITNESS: July 18th.
ATTORNEY: What year?
WITNESS: Every year.
_____________________________________

ATTORNEY: What gear were you in at the moment of the impact?
WITNESS: Gucci sweats and Reeboks.
______________________________________

ATTORNEY: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: And in what ways does it affect your memory?
WITNESS: I forget.
ATTORNEY: You forget? Can you give us an example of something you
forgot?
_____________________________________

ATTORNEY: How old is your son, the one living with you?
WITNESS: Thirty-eight or thirty-five, I can't remember which.
ATTORNEY: How long has he lived with you?
WITNESS: Forty-five years.
_____________________________________

ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that
morning?
WITNESS: He said, "Where am I, Cathy?"
ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you?
WITNESS: My name is Susan.
______________________________________

ATTORNEY: Do you know if your daughter has ever been involved in
voodoo?
WITNESS: We both do.
ATTORNEY: Voodoo?
WITNESS: We do.
ATTORNEY: You do?
WITNESS: Yes, voodoo.
______________________________________

ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his
sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?
WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam?
____________________________________

ATTORNEY: The youngest son, the twenty-one-year-old, how old is he?
WITNESS: Uh, he's twenty-one.
________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Were you present when your picture was taken?
WITNESS: Would you repeat the question?
______________________________________

ATTORNEY: So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8th?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: And what were you doing at that time?
WITNESS: Uh....
______________________________________

ATTORNEY: She had three children, right?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: How many were boys?
WITNESS: None.
ATTORNEY: Were there any girls?
______________________________________

ATTORNEY: How was your first marriage terminated?
WITNESS: By death.
ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated?
______________________________________

ATTORNEY: Can you describe the individual?
WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard.
ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female?
______________________________________

ATTORNEY: Is your appearance here this morning pursuant to a
deposition notice which I sent to your attorney?
WITNESS: No, this is how I dress when I go to work.
______________________________________

ATTORNEY: Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you performed on
dead people?
WITNESS: All my autopsies are performed on dead people.
______________________________________

ATTORNEY: ALL your responses MUST be oral,OK? What school did you go
to?
WITNESS: Oral.
______________________________________

ATTORNEY: Do you recall the time that you examined the body?
WITNESS: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m.
ATTORNEY: And Mr. Denton was dead at the time?
WITNESS: No, he was sitting on the table wondering why I was doing
an autopsy on him!
____________________________________________
ATTORNEY: Are you qualified to give a urine sample?
WITNESS: Huh?
____________________________________________

And the best for last:

ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check
for a pulse?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when
you began the autopsy?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor?
WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
ATTORNEY: But could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and

The the path is set:O

After all the syllabus are picked up I have come to a realization that in life we should develop a syllabus,
with our objectives with how many days we can take off
and how much reading we must do, that way we will accomplish the grade we want:)
I will get the grade I want :) the race is long but the pace is set:) Victory will be sweet:)

a painful truth sometimes:)

Change

"Change is life giving. It helps us grow into someone greater than we already are."

We are resistant to change, this year I am going to change, even if it kills me:) I am going outside of this box which has kept me from confronting that person who oppresses me, from that person who thinks that they can say anything and that person who use to be able to stare me down, Amen to the word CHANGE:)

El Dia de Los Reyes

Día de Reyes

If you are Puerto Rican then you have to celebrate Los Reyes. After Christmas put a Reyes statue as a centerpiece on your dinning room table so the kids know - it's no over yet "faltan los Reyes."

Celebrate it Puerto Rican style, that is.... have the kids cut grass or greenery on January 5th and put it in a box under their bed. Put a small gift from Los Reyes in the box once they fall asleep - and don't forget to throw out the grass. Have a special and festive Día de Reyes meal that day. Take pictures of your children with their boxes. After dinner make it a tradition to sing a Reyes song

Los Reyes arrive before dawn on January 6th. For centuries Puerto Rican children have celebrated Los Reyes in the same manner as their grandparents did when they were children. January 6 is called Epiphany and is traditionally the day in which the Magi arrived bearing gifts for the Christ child. Even to this day in Hispanic countries throughout the world, January 6 is the day that children receive their Christmas gifts, in commemoration of the Magi's visit.

The race is set , begin the pace, ready set go!!!

My new words are growing this year:) I'm so excited:)
Determination is not new, I am making it new to me:)

"Determination is born out of purpose...
knowing that you are gifted for something
and this something must be attained.
It is never enough to rely on luck or natural talent.
You must, above all, believe in yourself,
face your goals,
and then fight as if your
life depended on it."

2007 continue the journey

Every day we get up, have coffee and say, I am someone"s wife, someone"s mom, but I am more than that:)

Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow."( I copied this from the internet)

I'm out of my box, watch out:)
