keep on smiling:)

Expect the best
Some people make a practice of expecting the worst, in an effort to avoid being disappointed. Yet when you expect the worst you also focus on it and visualize it, thereby pushing yourself in a negative direction.
A more positive and effective strategy is to expect the best. Then build upon that expectation with preparation and action.
Expect the best, and visualize, in great detail, your own participation in it. That puts you into a powerful frame of mind, orients you toward success, and brings your expectations to life.
Expect the best, and you enable yourself to recognize and make full use of the opportunities coming your way. Expect the best, while preparing to handle whatever may come along, and you'll be ahead of the game from the very beginning.
No, life will not always live up to your highest expectations. Yet when the disappointments do come, choose even then to expect the best eventual outcome, and you're much more likely to get it.
Base your expectations on the best that you can imagine for every situation. More often than not, you'll go precisely where you expect to go.

Enjoy your day:)
Yours to fulfill
Right now, there is something you can do to make a positive difference in your world. Instead of just speculating about it or wishing for it, go ahead and do it.
Positive, effective action is what changes things. And you're fully capable of taking those actions that will bring your highest visions to life.
Avoiding, delaying and making excuses will just waste time and produce regrets. The time has come to take action.
Until you take decisive, committed action, your problems will continue to hound you and your dreams will continue to elude you. Get moving now, and your actions will surely begin to bring those dreams to life.
You are designed from the inside out for meaningful achievement. Go ahead and feel the delightful satisfaction of doing what you are meant to do.
Get busy, take action, and make it happen. Life's best possibilities are yours to fulfill.

Dogs and Cats
why do we love our animals? here is why:)
A dog thinks: Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me... They must be Gods!

be nuts today:)
have fun today and start fresh:)
The freshness of my eyes is given to me in prayer.
Attributed to the Prophet Muhammad
A college professor asked his class a question. If Philadelphia is 100 miles from New York and Chicago is 1000 miles from Philadelphia and Los Angles is 2000 miles from Chicago, how old am I.
One student in the back of the class raised his hand and when called upon said "Professor your 44.."
The Professor said "you're absolutely correct, but tell me how did you arrive at the answer so quickly?"
The student said. "You see professor I have a brother, he's 22 and he's half nuts."

Enjoy your day, but remember
enjoy your day off today , but remember why:) the quotes give you the idea of the man:)

In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.
Martin Luther King Jr
Let no man pull you low enough to hate him.
Martin Luther King Jr.
...And I've looked over, and I've seen the promised land. I may not get there with you, but I want you to know tonight that we as a people will get to the promised land. So I'm happy tonight. I'm not worried about anything. I'm not fearing any man.

love Voltaire:)
The longer we dwell on our misfortunes the greater their power to harm us: Voltaire
now this is a great quote, yesterday the pass crept up on me, and made me reflect on several things:
1. the pass is over:)
2. those who where important then have very little control:)
3. those who looked away and walked away have disappeared for me:)
ok so enjoy this music video:) it is in spanish but read the subtitles, it is one of my favorites:)
because I am a queen:)

Smilemaker is smiling again:)

Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does change the future.”
in the last month the pass has come back to visit:) and I have said hi, but like they say,
“One should rather die than be betrayed. There is no deceit in death. It delivers precisely what it has promised. Betrayal, though ... betrayal is the willful slaughter of hope.
keep hope alive and smile at someone today:)

To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant,
to enact gratitude is generous and noble,

smilemaker is surrounded by blessings:)
sometimes I look around and God shows me many blessings:)
daily reminders of so many wonderful things I sometimes do not see
take an moment today to see the wonder of his hand:)
and take it all in slowly and smile, because I am:)
The unthankful heart...discovers no mercies;
but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and,
as the magnet finds the iron, so it will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings!

I smile today, because I might forget to when I am 85:)
At age 4 success is . . . not peeing in your pants.
At age 12 success is . . . having friends.
At age 17 success is . . . having a drivers license.
At age 35 success is . . . having money.
At age 50 success is . . . having money.
At age 70 success is . . . having a drivers license.

be careful how you measure success:)

Smilemaker can sometimes return to Youth MInistry:)
sometimes ministry just happens, this is to share with those who love young people and want them to grasp the concept of confession. our confirmation class will have an opportunity to share this:) enjoy, and bless others:)
to those of you who have made your confirmation and sometimes struggle on your journey, use this song as a prayer to help you find the peace he wants for you:)
East To West"
Here I am, Lord, and I'm drowning in your sea of forgetfulness
The chains of yesterday surround me
I yearn for peace and rest
I don't want to end up where You found me
And it echoes in my mind, keeps me awake tonight
I know You've cast my sin as far as the east is from the west
And I stand before You now as though I've never sinned
But today I feel like I'm just one mistake away from You leaving me this way
Jesus, can You show me just how far the east is from the west
'cause I can't bear to see the man I've been come rising up in me again
In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
'cause You know just how far the east is from the west
From one scarred hand to the other
I start the day, the war begins, endless reminding of my sin
Time and time again Your truth is drowned out by the storm I'm in
Today I feel like I'm just one mistake away from You leaving me this way
I know You've washed me white, turned my darkness into light
I need Your peace to get me through, to get me through this night
I can't live by what I feel, but by the truth Your word reveals
I'm not holding on to You, but You're holding on to me
You're holding on to me
Jesus, You know just how far the east is from the west
I don't have to see the man I've been come rising up in me again
In the arms of Your mercy I find rest

Smile the light is coming:)

do not be afraid or fearful of the unknown. it is only unknown for a moment
sometimes the darkness that we feel is only there because our minds have been overtaken by the dark one. so look beyond the darkness and fear not.
Darkest Before the Dawn
Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised. - Hebrews 10:35-36

Happy Birthday Emilie

I wanted to wish My future daughter in law a very happy birthday:)
this poem is my gift to you: you are the light that shines into our family
we love you:)
Our Deepest Fear
By Marianne Williamson
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.
We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us;
It's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we're liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.
Smilemaker Jersey, makes more smiles

OK, so you are wondering why I say I will make more smiles, well I can bet you will smile after you read this. above is a painting by Thomas Kinkade
yes, and you thought I did not know art, I really didn't, small fry has been sick since Monday and last night had to catch up with ALL of her work;) so guess what, we had to put together a brochure of art work, yes we selected Thomas Kinkade, and yes he does not only make furniture, well I never really tought he made anything other than calendars:) well let me tell you he has really worked hard these last 20 years:) so when midnight came around, I almost called him personaly, but no, we got it done:), why is it when you need someone else to be home, he is on a business trip? so I decided to share the creative genius of Thomas Kinkade with you, so enjoy the peace scene and remember to smile:)

The perfect Smilemaker day:)
sometimes we have to be reminded of a perfect day:) give more than you take and the day will be complete:)
The Well-Spent Day
If we sit down at set of sun
And count the acts that we have done,
And, counting, find
One self-denying act, one word
That eased the heart of him who heard,
One glance most kind,
That fell like sunshine where it went,
Then we may count that day well-spent.

Smile for the day CCD:) Love those kids
A children's catechism class was learning the Apostles Creed.
Each child had been assigned a sentence to repeat.
The first one said, "I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth."
The second child said, "I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son.
"When he had completed his sentence, there was an embarrassing silence.
Finally, one child piped up, "Teacher, the boy who believes in the Holy Spirit isn't here."

Smilemaker Jersey 2008 first smile

Warning
When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.
