Run toward the challenges
Of course it's difficult. That's what makes it so valuable. The time, effort and commitment you put into reaching the goal have their own rewards, over and above the achievement itself. They make you stronger, more disciplined, and more effective.
When great effort is called for, great opportunities abound. When challenges and difficulties surround you, there is much value to be created.
Instead of cursing the need for sustained and focused effort, be genuinely thankful for the chance. For you are designed and equipped to get things done, and life is superbly rewarding when you do.
When difficult work is called for, step quickly forward with enthusiasm. It is truly your moment to shine, to grow, and to create according to your best expectations.
Run toward the challenges. It is in those challenges that you will fulfill your greatest dreams.
The fact that there is a photo of these two together means I have to print this top ten list:)
Top Ten List: Why Elvis Will Replace Jesus"
10. His motto "Taking Care of Business" appeals to the power structure better than "Jesus Saves." 9. White jumpsuits are more practical than white robes in most parts of the world. 8. Elvis had better songs! 7. Elvis had sex! 6. Elvis approved of his followers having sex! 5. The Presley-Jackson Estate will probably own most of the world anyway. 4. JC's disciples drove camels; Elvis' disciples drove Caddies. Which would you rather be? 3. You don't have to starve yourself to emulate Elvis. 2. JC's followers learned "turn the other cheek." Elvis' followers learned karate. 1. You're still reading this.
A person should set his goals as early as he can and devote all his energy and talent to getting there. With enough effort, he may achieve it. Or he may find something that is even more rewarding. But in the end, no matter what the outcome, he will know he has been alive.” Walt Disney
all week I have been dancing and singing, and you know what it is so much fun to do what the spirit moves you to do:) I am sure that God's plan is always changing and always fun:) keep smiling and enjoy the power of Jesus;)
Put a spark back into your life : ) give a hand to someone with out expecting anything in return:) it is the most powerful thing that you can do today.
An Inspirational Thought The World Is Our Classroom by Catherine Pulsifer I recently read some of H. Jackson Brown, Jr's work. He has one piece that is titled, Live and Learn and Pass It On. Here is a partial piece of that work:
I've learned that... I've learned that most of the things I worry about never happen. -age 64 I've learned that every great achievement was once considered impossible. -age 47 I've learned that you can't hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk. -age 7 I've learned that if there were no problems there would be no opportunities. -age 19 I've learned that it doesn't cost anything to be nice. -age 66 I've learned that the important thing is not what others think of me but what I think of me. -age 38
His work got me thinking. If we kept a journal and each year on our birthday we wrote the most significant thing that occurred in our life, and what we learned from this, then we would have a legacy to pass on to our children. Think of your last five years, what one thing did you learn that you would share with someone that you love. Here are my thoughts on what I have learned:
THIS IS A GREAT CONCEPT: HERE ARE MY MOST SIGNIFICANT THING FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS: read and write your own:)
2003: I've learned that if it seems too good to be true, it is:) 2004: I've learned that keeping up with image is harmful:) 2005: I've learned that true faith and friendship is truly a gift from God:) 2006: I've learned that the hardest step to take is the first:) 2007: I've learned that hard work pays off with time and persistance :)
take a moment and write down what you have learned ;)
This has been a explosive week, first day of summer school on Monday, and of course my little people, (age 6-8) were excited and happy to be back in school. so excited that one had to be send to the office for using a bad word. he won't be back since it was very offensive.
