day 4

faith is a journey that you are pushed into by your parents and you discover the path as you follow them, or as you explore the path in a new direction. faith cannot be taught it is inside of you , you must dive into your self and find God , so lead by example and know that someone is watching and they are learning:)

day 3 :)

“We can offer up much in the large, but to make sacrifices in little things is what we are seldom equal to”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

you know sometimes people try to hard to be holy and when that happens in front of me it makes me laugh, because I too have been a Pharisees and it was a wonderful place so I thought , but when it crumbles down in front of you it is when you realize that the only thing left after the dust settles is God, so cling to him and he will always be there to carry you

Day two of Lent

A smile can make your day, some people are so caught up in what the world is doing that they forget what the present is giving them right now. don't be stuck in your own little world and think that every thing is about you, sometimes life is happening to someone else and you happen to be present to enhance it, so be on the look out for smile opportunities.:)

make lent a time of love for all , if you give it you will get it back

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday gets its name from the practice of placing ashes on the foreheads of the faithful as a sign of repentance. The ashes used are gathered after the Palm Crosses from the previous year's Palm Sunday are burned. In the liturgical practice of some churches, the ashes are mixed with the Oil of the Catechumens[1] (one of the sacred oils used to anoint those about to be baptized), though some churches use ordinary oil. This paste is used by the priest who presides at the service to make the sign of the cross

Ironic comment I received in church yesterday, someone told me I was smiling too much:) my evil plan is finally working:)
keep smiling even in church on the first day of Lent:)

Fat Tuesday: Carnival:)

Fat Tuesday: today is most commonly known as a festive day to eat, drink and be merry even if you don't live in Louisiana :0

have fun today and have even more fun the next 40 days as you celebrate God's love in a very private special way:) Happy Lent

Mardi Gras, literally "Fat Tuesday," has grown in popularity in recent years as a raucous, sometimes hedonistic event. But its roots lie in the Christian calendar, as the "last hurrah" before Lent begins on Ash Wednesday. That's why the enormous party in New Orleans, for example, ends abruptly at midnight on Tuesday, with battalions of streetsweepers pushing the crowds out of the French Quarter towards home.

What is less known about Mardi Gras is its relation to the Christmas season, through the ordinary-time interlude known in many Catholic cultures as Carnival. (Ordinary time, in the Christian calendar, refers to the normal "ordering" of time outside of the Advent/Christmas or Lent/Easter seasons. There is a fine Scripture From Scratch article on that topic if you want to learn more.)

Carnival comes from the Latin words carne vale, meaning "farewell to the flesh." Like many Catholic holidays and seasonal celebrations, it likely has its roots in pre-Christian traditions based on the seasons. Some believe the festival represented the few days added to the lunar calendar to make it coincide with the solar calendar; since these days were outside the calendar, rules and customs were not obeyed. Others see it as a late-winter celebration designed to welcome the coming spring. As early as the middle of the second century, the Romans observed a Fast of 40 Days, which was preceded by a brief season of feasting, costumes and merrymaking.

destination is a state of mind:)

“I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.”
Jimmy Dean

“A goal without a plan is just a wish.”
Larry Elder

I wake up I get dressed, I move forward:) but some days I want to do a little more, and when that little more is full of joy, it the biggest hug from God I could ever ask for.
so get up, get dress, move forward and accept the joy which you might see if you are busy looking at the dark side of your smile:)

have a great day:)

A great day

Today is a great day to be alive. The world is filled with positive possibilities, and those possibilities grow more numerous with each passing moment.
Sure, there are challenges and disappointments and frustrations. And within those challenges, within those disappointments, are some of the greatest possibilities.

Today is a great day to be alive because today you can make things happen. You can set a goal, chart a course, take stock of your situation and use it to create new value.

Pay no attention to those who claim to know how things will be. Your future is yours to determine, and this is the day to make it great.

You don't need anyone's permission to live with joy and fulfillment. You don't need to wait for certain circumstances to line up in a specific way.

For today is a great day to be alive, to be productive, to be effective and to fulfill your best possibilities. And now is the moment to enthusiastically get busy making it all happen.

where did the day go:)

Enough

What you have is enough. What you can do is enough.
Right now you have enough time, energy, knowledge, skills and resources to point your life in any direction. Once you begin the journey, as you need more, you'll find ways to bring it about.

It's silly to wish for more when you could instead be making full use of what you have. Put your energy into creating the life you choose to live.

Allow your inner self to be exactly where you would most like to be. And the rest of you will soon be there too.

An endless abundance is yours if you simply choose to accept it. Fully accept what already is, and suddenly you have it all.

Instead of wishing for more, bring to life the very best of the dreams that are already yours. Know that you already are enough, and discover just how magnificent it is.

“A smile starts on the lips, A grin spreads to the eyes, A chuckle comes from the belly; But a good laugh bursts forth from the soul, Overflows, and bubbles all around”
Carolyn Birmingham

have you smiled lately? it is a strange but wonderful experience, just like life around you it happens , before you notice it, it is fun and relaxing. for those of you who have not smiled lately, just look out the window, look at the sky and feel the warmth, then remember how you felt when you were 5 years old and you will smile, because when you were 5 life was easy, fun and free remember to be 5 each day for about 2 minutes and you will really smile, it is God's gift to us, our memories;)

Every breath we draw is a gift of God's love; every moment of existence is a grace.

Thomas Merton

Grace is such a difficult thing to describe especially to those who are not aware of God. Grace is not just a girl I know at church, it is the knowledge and confidence to move forward when your mind is telling you to hold back,, walking into the burning house because you know you are needed inside:) move forward in faith and Grace will give you that hug you need:)

find peace today and smile

A little peace here, a little peace there, and pretty soon all
the peaces will fit together to make one big peace everywhere.

A peace that comes from fear and not from the heart is the opposite of peace.

A truly free society must not include a "peace" which oppresses us.

less we forget who is in charge:)

John 3:27-28 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it have been given him from heaven.

28 You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but, that I am sent before him.

we are all guilty sometimes of thinking we are in charge, but just a reminder using this scripture, we are guided by God to be in ministry, so we can glorify him, not to make ourselves more important. I strive to be more like John, when he said I receive nothing except it have been given from heaven. so use the gifts he gives you daily , but gently remind yourself that at anytime he will move you to a new anointing , accept the new challenge and glorify him for giving you the raise:)

be a winner today:)

Because nothing says "you're a loser" more than owning a motivational poster about being a winner

the sweet taste of fulfillment:)

Refuse to accept anything less than excellence from yourself. You know that you're capable of the very best, so make sure you fulfill your greatest possibilities.
Hold yourself accountable to your highest vision. Support and encourage your own unique greatness.

There is so very much value that you have to contribute to life. The sweet taste of true fulfillment comes from giving the best that you have.

There will be countless temptations to take shortcuts and to compromise your most treasured principles. But keep in mind that you will gain nothing of real value by doing so.

Instead, insist on excellence from yourself in every endeavor. Do what you know is best, and you'll achieve what you long to achieve.
