The funny thing about religion

Sometimes we take our religion too seriously, today I decided to get back to basics: )

Have you ever had to stand up against the majority for a cause that wasn't popular? God brought the Israelites out of Egypt and promised He would lead them into a land of milk and honey. The process of moving out of Egypt was difficult. They could no longer do things the old way, for the old ways didn't work in the desert. God provided for them during this journey. But there came a point in which the people forgot what God had said. Their discomfort changed their belief about God.


Has God called you to stand for a cause bigger than yourself? You will have opposition to His call; sometimes it even comes from those in your own camp. But if God has called you, then you can be sure He will make a way. He has already opened the way before you. But you must walk in faith, joined with Him to take the land.
...Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).

Courage:)

Having courage is so misunderstood
when we think of courage we think of people rescuing others from a burning buildings, or someone who is drowning.
Sometimes courage is just saying no.
no to a lie:)
no to the power of abuse:)
no to the dominance:)
no to the policy:)
turn your no's to yes:
yes to the truth; John 8:32 - and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
yes to empowering Jeremiah 34:13 - "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: I made a covenant with your fathers when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, saying,
yes to changing rules:)

Sometimes even smiles come from within.
Sometimes doing the right thing is harder to do

warm water for a shower after 3 days of a broken water heater(:(

It is amazing when we think we know it all, that alone is a big smile for me:)

God has continued to tell me to be silent:) a huge miracle for those who know me:)

So I will continue to smile and be silent, but ask for all to pray for our religious leaders, that they be blest with widom, peace and above all reconciliation.

Texas humor

While in Texas , I refer to myself as Ms.Georgia, this is a teaching tool to help the adult students come back to the topic at hand. I wave my hand like a beauty queen and the room response is to yell out Ms. Georgia, this brings those who are wandering, back to class. This last week I was instructing people from Honduras, El Salvador, Columbia. They found the Ms. Georgia technique rather amusing, one student (the only man in the group) made a life changing comment to me. He waited for the end of my class and spoke to me very seriously(it was a real smiling). He wanted to know the meaning of the Ms. Georgia wave and response from the class, I responded graciously. He then said it.......Wow , I bet you looked like a beauty queen in your younger and slimmer days:),,,,,,,,so this is the life changing part, I was not really offended, I might lose some weight, but then again, women with substance rule the world. Right QBF!!!

TEXAS Humor

Now that I have returned from the Country of TEXAS, I can share more Texas smiles.
1. Augusta GA has more Mexican restaurant than San Antonio Texas.
2. Texas has less Spanish TV channels than this town.
3. Sweet Tea is better, I really miss it when I am gone.
4. And last but not least, I do remember the Alamo. I will post photos soon.

TEXAS

Did you know that everything is bigger in TEXAS.
Well maybe it's not but the people here sure make you feel like it is.
They are the biggest smilers in this part of the world

Do you ever feel like Job?

We all know the story of Job, a faithful man who all of a sudden.....
Everything he knew and loved began to vanish....
Sometimes that is a feeling we get in our lives, Why ??
Just when we get our lives where we want , things change and all seems disrupted.
I know in my life that has been true this year. For a time I blamed myself, then I blamed God. Then one morning I realize what a real blessing it all was and THANK GOD!!!
If that change had not happen I would never be where I am now:)
So as I ponder the changes that made me feel as if I was out side the box, I know now as I look in that box, I am glad to be free from that bondage:)
I feel bad for those who are still in that box, living with the hard times daily:(

Fishing

Fishing is a wierd activity. I went deep sea fishing:)
Yes, Me,
those of you who know me , can stop laughing NOW.
I do not touch fish, or things that fish eat. knowing that much, hearing that I went fishing
will make you wonder (what did you do on the boat?)
After discussing with my husband that the only two stories I know about boats did not end well and my concerns about the trip into deep sea.
My two stories I shared were Gilligan's Island, and the perfect storm. He assured me that all will be fine. We fished from 7-2AM, yes when most humans are sleeping:)
Lessons learned:)
hold on to the fishing pole tight:) ( those fish are big)
never put your hand in a fishes mouth:) ( they have teeth)
deep sea fishing boats do not have lounges you can sit in and wait for your husband:)
all in all it was an awesome experience. I caught 6 blue fish, those guys were realy big:)

Water parks:)

OK, so part of vacations is doing things that are fun:)
a water park today. OK fun for some people , I don't like water
but I know it will be fun.
when we go, I will people watch, (especially fun in New Jersey)
I will marvel in the delight of beach food.(funnel cake)
I will enjoy the moment.
one thing I can't get use to is the constant talking everyone does around here.
I talk all the time, I guess that is the way jersey people are, I need a shirt made,(QBF)

vacation :)

Vacation , it brings a smile to everyone, except if you go on vacation with us.
when you vacation with us , you laugh out loud.
all trips are on a military time table.
today we go to NYC, 45 min on train, 20 min walking to first site,
and so on and so on.
in a day or so we will go to the beach.


I hope this is not a comment you hear in the beach, (it is the Jersey beach)
